Bid by lawmakers to impeach Raufu Olaniyan, deputy governor of the Oyo State might have hit the wall as the Igboho-born retired permanent secretary has dragged them to court.
The Oyo State High Court on Tuesday adjourned hearing till tomorrow Wednesday, and the court ordered that the speaker and the clerk be put on notice.
It could be recalled that the Deputy Governor defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The House of Assembly, few days after the defection sent Impeachment notice to the Deputy Governor, given him a week to respond to the allegations contained in the Impeachment notice.
Olaniyan replied them within 4 days, through his lawyers.
As at the time of replying the Assembly, Olaniyan’s legal team, was filing processes at the High Court to stop the lawmakers from going ahead.
The House of Assembly would read the response of the Deputy Governor tomorrow.
