Nigerian singer and rapper Zlatan Ibile has evoked strong emotions on the internet by dropping a heartfelt tribute track in memory of his friend and fellow artist Mohbad, who tragically passed away.
Recall that in a video that surfaced online days after Mohbad’s tragic passing, Zlatan was captured in a moment where he intervened, preventing Sam Larry from assaulting Imole.
In the tribute video, Zlatan’s deep emotional connection to the situation is evident as he passionately addresses those he believes are responsible for his friend’s untimely demise.
Ibile came out with strong emotions, fiercely casting curses upon all those he believed were involved in Mohbad’s demise, all the while invoking divine protection for himself.
Mohbad, 27, passed away on September 12 and was laid to rest on Wednesday, September 13.
In a viral clip, the late singer could be seen seated in a wheelchair with Zlatan as they were pushed by two women in the video shoot.
Sam Larry, the music promoter, in the company of some men, visited the scene and demanded that Mohbad be sent out.
It took the intervention of Zlatan to ensure Mohbad was not hit with what appeared to be a stick from Larry.
Larry maintained that Mohbad must leave the premises, warning Zlatan to give way.
“Put off all the madness you are doing. This one cannot be here,” he yelled in Yoruba.
